Lea Michele might play a schoolgirl on Glee – but the cardigans end there!
The songbird, 24, posed for a series of raunchy shots for Marie Claire Magazine UK – with just a well-placed hand protecting her modesty.
Lea, who plays Rachel Berry on the Emmy-nominated musical-comedy, told the magazine that her transition to the small screen wasn’t exactly an overnight success.
“I was told by agents and casting directors I wasn’t right for TV,” Lea explains. “I didn’t feel that but I was told it and you believe it. I was always working on Broadway and auditioning for TV – things like Law & Order – but there was never anything.”
She added: “Glee has made me feel beautiful. Now when people say that I don’t feel like they’re lying.”
The actress also insists that any rumored liaisons between the Glee castmates are completely fabricated. Michele is regularly romantically-linked to actor Matthew Morrison, who plays her teacher Will Schuster in the hugely successful series. Although admits she is close to Morrison, Lea says the friendship stems from the fact that both previously starred on Broadway.
“Every week, I’m rumored to be dating a different Glee cast member. It is hysterical, but none of us are dating each other – I will say that much. I’ve known Matt for years,” Lea said. “He’s been a friend of mine from New York. People are going to make things up. I think it’s just because we really are so close.”
