Top 20: TV's Sexiest Videos

Buzz this
Randy royals, cage-matched island dwellers and car wash lovin' ... our list of the 20 sexiest scenes in primetime TV history has 'em all, as well as lip-locked lesbians, co-workers whose love/hate relationships took turns for the steamy (and McDreamy) and more than one randy vampire.

Read on to see if you agree with the scenes that get us all hot and bothered ... (Warning: Following material may be NSFW)

20. The Geek (Almost) Gets the Girl
Show: 'Chuck' (2007-present)
Episode: Season 2, 'Chuck Versus the Colonel'
Stars: Yvonne Strahovski and Zachary Levi
Sexy sitch: Spy guy Chuck and his handler Sarah are on the lam and check in to a seedy motel so they won't be caught. In other words, cheesy motel room, only one bed, and when the long-brewing couple wakes up next to each other in bed, holding hands and with their lives and jobs on the line, they take one look at each other and jump into passionate kisses that would have led to even more, had Chuck not maddeningly discovered that his BFF Morgan had taken the condom from his wallet.
Scorch factor: Strahovski and Levi look dead sexy with bedhead.

19. Animal Lust
Show: 'The Sopranos' (1999-2007)
Episode: Season 3, 'The Telltale Moozadell'
Stars: Annabella Sciorra and James Gandolfini
Sexy sitch: They met in Dr. Melfi's office, and you just knew theirs was not going to be a flowers-and-candy romance ... it was more like a Mercedes-and-snake house romance, as in the car dealership where Gloria (Sciorra) worked and where Tony pursued her, and the snake house, as in the zoo location where the duo got it on in a scene that was both titillating and worthy of a 20-page dissection. Seriously ... sex up against the glass cage, with snakes watching? After Tony had just gotten his first hint that Gloria was like his mother, with her "poor you" reaction to his charge that she played head games? Dr. Melfi could've gotten a whole book out of that one interaction alone.
Scorch factor: You never wanted to find anything about Tony Soprano sexy. You know, on account of him being a murderous thug, a cheating bastard of a husband and not what you (or anyone) would call conventionally attractive. But he was a powerful guy, with a pretty good sense of humor, and his versions of romance tended to be raw and lusty and, yes, sometimes sexy.

18. Love in the Rinse Cycle
Show: 'Ally McBeal' (1997-2002)
Episode: Season 3, 'Car Wash'
Stars: Calista Flockhart and Jason Gedrick
Sexy sitch: It's still a bit shocking -- anonymous sex with a dude you meet (actually, they didn't even introduce themselves to each other, verbally anyway) at the car wash? Ally's hot car wash guy hopped into her car, started kissing her and then pulled her out of the car -- during the rinse cycle! -- and got down 'n dirty with the lady lawyer while her auto continued to get cleaned. Ally would later describe the act as making love, before correcting herself and saying the experience was better summed up by "that vulgar verb." You know the one.
Scorch factor: Too bad Hot Car Wash Guy (Gedrick) turned out to be the fiancé of Ally's client, who later asked Ally to be her bridesmaid.

17. Risque Business
Show: 'Weeds' (2005-present)
Episode: Season 3, 'The Dark Time'
Stars: Mary-Louise Parker and Romany Malco
Sexy sitch: Drug-dealing mama Nancy and her partner Conrad had been building up to this moment, which sparked from one of Nancy's trademark spontaneous moves, planting a kiss on Conrad and then proceeding to get both of them to drop trou (or, in her case, undertrou) and getting down to sexy business on a hallway table.
Scorch factor: Too brief a scene, but Parker and Malco certainly make the most of their screen time.

16. Spy Love
Show: 'Alias' (2001-06)
Episode: Season 2, 'Double Agent'
Stars: Jennifer Garner and Michael Vartan
Sexy sitch: The way Vaughn looks at Sydney while she's cooking dinner for him is, alone, hotter than most TV sex scenes, but when he grabs her, kisses her and points out that they can reheat dinner -- you know, after -- it leads to the long-awaited couple's first coupling, which manages to be both sweet and very, very sexy.
Scorch factor: The sexiness turns a bit creepy when viewers find out that Vaughn and Syd are being secretly taped by the evil fembot Francie.

15. Sapphic Smooching
Show: 'The L Word' (2004-09)
Episode: Season 2, 'Lacuna'
Stars: Katherine Moenning and Sarah Shahi
Sexy sitch: It starts with making out in the backyard, which leads to even more fevered kissing for a brief stop at the dining room table, which leads to even hotter kissing as Carmen (Shahi) pins Shane (Moenning) to a wall and finally winds up in the bedroom, where the couple falls onto the bed and a very enthusiastic romp ensues. Shane was involved in many of the show's steamiest moments, but this one was sexy and sweet, as Shane actually made a rare utterance of the L-word to Carmen.
Scorch factor: Just hot, hot, hot.

14. An Out-of-This-World Sexy Dance
Show: 'Star Trek' (1966-69)
Episode: Season 3, 'When Gods Destroy'
Stars: Yvonne Craig, William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy
Sexy sitch: It's not easy being green ... or sexy when you look like the offspring of the Incredible Hulk and the Jolly Green Giant, but Yvonne Craig, as green-skinned Orion slave Marta, managed to pull off a sexy dance for captain Kirk and Mr. Spock in one of the unsexiest outfits ever. Not that Craig hasn't enjoyed time in one of the all-time sexiest TV outfits ... she was Batgirl in the 1966 live-action 'Batman' TV series.
Scorch factor: Relative to the time, and the standards of how sexy you could get on TV, this was a naughty little number. Besides, again, you try a seductive dance when you're dressed like broccoli.

13. Prom Night
Show: 'Grey's Anatomy' (2005-present)
Episode: Season 2, 'Losing My Religion'
Stars: Ellen Pompeo and Patrick Dempsey
Sexy sitch: He was looking at her. That's what led MerDer to their prom night hook-up (a prom the Seattle Grace staff was hosting for Dr. Webber's dying niece), as he looked at her McDreamily while she danced with veterinarian Finn (guest star Chris O'Donnell). Cue to fan fave couple Derek and Meredith in an exam room hook-up session that ended with her MIA panties and, eventually, their reunion.
Scorch factor: When a makeout session with her gorgeous ex ends with her underwear gone a-missin', chances are Meredith and Derek had a good time, no?

12. Workplace Romance
Show: 'Melrose Place' (1992-99)
Episode: Season 2, 'Love, Mancini-Style'
Stars: Heather Locklear and Grant Show
Sexy sitch: Tough professional Amanda liked working class guy Jake partly because he would push back in the face of even her most bee-otchy behavior. Or, in this case, because he pushed off the contents of her desk, climbed up on it with her and engaged in what the Starland Vocal Band was singing about in 'Afternoon Delight.'
Scorch factor: Everything about it was over the top, from Amanda's short, short skirt to Jake's work boots and undershirt, but Locklear helped turn the show into a must-see hit for several seasons, and her short skirts and ability to pull off sexy scenes like this one were a huge reason why.

11. The Thin Line Between Love and Hate
Show: 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' (1997-2003)
Episode: Season 6, 'Smashed'
Stars: Sarah Michelle Gellar and James Marsters
Sexy sitch: They had kissed before, but it never brought down the house like it (literally) did when this season 6 fight turned passionate, and the abandoned building in which The Buffster and Spike were roping came crashing down around them.
Scorch factor: They. Brought. Down. The. House. Literally.

10. Love Bites
Show: 'True Blood' (2008-present)
Episode: Season 2, 'New World in My View'
Stars: Anna Paquin and Alexander Skarsgård
Sexy sitch: Vampire fans debating Team Edward or Team Jacob need to take a time out and take a peek at this scene of vampire love, in which Eric bares his fangs and , even with bleeding eyes, begins to rock Sookie's world.
Scorch factor: Like Bobby getting out of the shower, it was all a dream. A really, really good dream.

9.The One Where They Have the Sexy Kiss in the Rain

Show:'Friends' (1994-2004)
Episode: Season 2, 'The One Where Ross Finds Out'
Stars: Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer
Sexy sitch: She found out he liked her, then he got a new girlfriend. He found out she liked him, just as he was about to -- in a sign of twentysomething commitment -- get a cat with said girlfriend. After a season and a half, it looked like Ross and Rachel might never get together, until he finally ditched the girlfriend and the cat, showed up at Central Perk just as waitress Rachel was closing down the joint for the night, and finally got their timing right when they admitted their feelings for each other and embarked on a blazing kiss that couldn't be dampened even by the NYC rain that poured down behind them.
Scorch factor: One of the best TV kisses ever.

8. The First Time
Show: 'Queer as Folk' (2000-05)
Stars: Gale Harold and Randy Harrison
Sexy sitch: When the sweet, inexperienced Justin (Harrison) went home with man whore Brian (Harold) for the first time, he thought Brian was talking about breakfast cereal when he asked if Justin liked Special K. But by the time Brian had completely stripped down and made his quippy "coming or going" speech, Justin had already begun to fall in love and what resulted was the first of many, many hot sex scenes in the pair's tumultuous relationship.
Scorch factor: Sure, it looks like a professional sweat artist styled Brian to look oh-so-perfectly glistening, but the key to the scene was really the chemistry between Harold and Harrison, which never waned, and was never as scorching as it was in their first hook-up scene.

7. War Is Hell ... and Sexy
Show: 'M*A*S*H' (1972-83)
Episode: Season 6, 'Comrades in Arms'
Stars: Loretta Swit and Alan Alda
Sexy sitch: When frequently bickering Army nurse and doc Hotlips and Hawkeye are lost behind enemy lines, they quickly decide their best bet is to get along and seek shelter in a small roadside hut. And when that hut is bombarded with shrapnel from enemy fire -- and with their 4077 cohorts fearing they might be dead -- the two stop butting heads and in a moment of genuine bonding, affection, vulnerability and respect for each other, they begin to kiss, leading to the next morning, when they wake up and it's implied that they, well, did a lot more than kiss.
Scorch factor: The slow build of Hotlips and Hawkeye's sexual tension led to a pay-off that was sweet, subtle and definitely sexy.

6. Royal Love Games
Show: 'The Tudors' (2007-10)
Episode: Season 1, 'The Death of Wolsey'
Stars: Natalie Dormer and Jonathan Rhys Meyers
Sexy sitch: Anne Boleyn and King Henry meet up in a secluded spot in the forest, and mere seconds pass before they're naked and getting busy up against a tree. Fast, furious, moaning, intense sex follows, right up to the point where the King is about to make his royal, um, finish. That's the exact moment that Anne, following the advice that she find a way to "keep (Henry's) interest more prolonged," pushes him off of her, prompting a frustrated scream by Henry, and a hissy fit in which he throws his clothes.
Scorch factor: Put the kiddies to bed and make sure none of your parental units happen to be around when this one comes on screen, because it's naughty, steamy and graphic, and it's all those things by cable TV standards, meaning it's definitely not something you want to watch with Grandma and Grandpa in the room.

5. Forbidden Love
Show: 'The Thorn Birds' (1983)
Stars: Rachel Ward and Richard Chamberlain
Sexy sitch: He was a priest! She was in love with him! And they did it! On the beach! And then the bedroom! And then the beach again!
Scorch factor: Father Ralph and Meggie may have sparked some controversy with their affair of, well, biblical proportions, but as portrayed by the very sexy Chamberlain and Ward, they made one gorgeous, sexy match, made in miniseries heaven.

4.Cage Match
Show: 'Lost' (2004-10)
Episode: Season 3, 'I Do'
Stars: Evangeline Lilly and Josh Holloway
Sexy sitch: In fairness to all the other sexy moments, Sawyer could muster up chemistry with a wet sponge. So when he and Kate, both hot, sweaty, thinking they might die and clinging to only each other, finally consummate their long-simmering feelings for each other -- in a cage! -- it resulted in the show's sexiest moment ever.
Scorch factor: You wanted them to, you thought they never would, and then they did ... perfection.

3. Will They or Won't They? They Did!
Show: 'Moonlighting' (1985-89)
Episode: Season 3, 'I Am Curious ... Maddie'
Stars: Cybill Shepherd and Bruce Willis
Sexy sitch: It may be the greatest of the will-they or won't-they consummations, as P.I. partners Maddie and David finally get together in a sexy frolic that leaves her living room trashed.
Scorch factor: The physical scenes are hot, but in true 'Moonlighting' fashion, it's the verbal foreplay that made the moment so great, along with the fact that Cybill Shepherd wore a bed sheet better than most women wear an evening gown.

2. Love in an Elevator
Show: 'Sex and the City' (1998-2004)
Episode: Season 3, 'Easy Come, Easy Go'
Stars: Sarah Jessica Parker and Chris Noth
Sexy sitch: The decision by Carrie to sleep with ex-boyfriend (and currently married to someone else) Mr. Big would prove to be somewhat polarizing amongst 'SATC' fans, but there's no denying that Carrie and Big's hotel elevator make-out, which went, in quick succession, from a fight to a series of hot kisses and ultimately led to a scene in which we see them in bed, smoking a cigarette, was one of the most purely sexual moments in the pair's on-again, off-again relationship.
Scorch factor: The action in the elevator? Hot! The fallout when their affair is found out -- cold shower.

1. "You Disgust Me ... I Hate You"
Show: 'Cheers' (1982-93)
Episode: Season 1, 'Showdown, Part 2'
Stars: Shelley Long and Ted Danson
Sexy sitch: When Sam's more successful brother tries to sweep snooty Diane off her feet, it becomes the catalyst for she and bartender boss Sam to finally 'fess up to their feelings for each other, but only after a typically wordy exchange in which they first profess their desire to kill each other.

Sam: You are the nuttiest, the stupidest, the phoniest fruitcake I ever met!
Diane: And you, Sam Malone, are the most arrogant, self-centered...
Sam: SHUT UP! Shut your fat mouth!
Diane: Make me!
Sam: Make you? Why, I'm... I'm gonna... I'm gonna bounce you off every wall in this office!
Diane: Try it and you'll be walking funny tomorrow. Or should I say funnier.
Sam: You know, I always wanted to pop you one. Maybe this is my lucky day.
Diane: You disgust me. I hate you.
Sam: Are you as turned on as I am?
Diane: More.
Sam: Bet me.

And then they kiss.

Scorch factor: It's more subtle than most of the moments on our list, but the build up to this opposites-attract couple was delicious, and this interaction promised that they would not become boring, even when they decided to focus on the "love" aspect of their love/hate relationship.

Sound off: What would you pick as the sexiest scene on television?
